On the 28th of October 2025, we were granted the prestigious opportunity of attending an event which focused on the application of 3M's industrial tapes and adhesives’).
Glass is an increasingly indispensable material for contemporary designers. Its property of transparency and the wide range of design possibilities it offers make it particularly popular among architects and interior designers, however, glass gains the most significance as a construction material with the right joining technology. With the right adhesive materials, glass elements, windows and glass façades – can be joined quickly, safely and permanently.

Adhesive joints are often used to join different materials together, such as glass and plastics or glass and metals. Highly flexible adhesives are usually required for this purpose, as they can compensate for the materials’ different coefficients of thermal expansion and tolerate vibration and dynamic forces very well. No other joining method can match the flexibility required for a glass-to-metal joint.
Proposed solutions for bonding glass and wood:
- VHB tapes
- Industrial Velcro
- structural adhesives.
The training was presented by 3M specialists:
- Sławomir Ponichtera (Application Engineer in the 3M Industrial Tapes and Adhesives Division)
- and Roman Kwitlinski, Adhesive and Implementation Specialist.
